The Christian God's Priorities

Description

So the Christian God is both omnipotent and omnibenevolent, yet he allows such suffering to exist in the world while others are more concerned about the outcome of a sporting event?  It almost seems like God is simply a reflection of the priorities and ideals of the worshipers.

Felt this would be fitting for the day of the Superbowl, which happens to be a Sunday.

If it means that the children are saved... (maybe it would help them later in life, or actually bring them to the attention of Christian missionaries or something.)

Or that someone else would be saved, who otherwise wouldn't be able to come to faith...

Sure.

But it's seriously doubtful that this comparison would ever be a case. Because whilst the pro game might have effects on millions...

Only God knows how it would be considered helpful.

Also, it's not an either/or proposition. God can help both, without the other lacking if needed.

But that's the key, ain't it? Is it needed for God to intervene with either case, in any way??

Again, only if otherwise someone who could be brought to faith, would instead be damned. Or, if helping wouldn't damn someone who might be saved. THAT'S GOD'S PRIORITY.

Because everything else, is ultimately meaningless for the damned/saved individual. (Though, because God IS Good... he'll listen to people's prayers, and limit what this sinful world might do to people. Even footballers. )
